Prize Drawing Rules and Information

The “Cruise the Ave Promotional Contest Drawing” is a promotional contest drawing which is open to: the general public; show car owners; trade/craft/swap meet participants; and, sponsors of the Cruise the Ave event may enter. Those sponsors who have submitted prizes for this promotional contest drawing MAY NOT participate. Contest run dates are Wednesday, June 15th – Sunday, October 2, 2011.

Event Logistics of Washington, on behalf of They Shall Walk and They Shall Walk Education and Outreach is the Sponsor of the drawing. References to ‘Sponsor’ in rules specifically reference Event Logistics of Washington.

One GRAND PRIZE is guaranteed to be drawn on Sunday, October 2, 2011, of $100.00 CASH. Additional prizes will be added to the contest drawing at the discretion of Sponsor. The prize list posted at this website will be considered the official list. In the event that additional prizes are added, the list of prizes and actual value will be listed on this website.

 

The GRAND PRIZE is $100.00 CASH. All other prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged, substituted or redeemed for cash. Any prize package and components therein are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash; are subject to terms and conditions of use as stated thereon. All other expenses not described in prizes, descriptions above (including, but not limited to, ground transportation, meals besides those mentioned, food & beverage, mini-bar, room service, baggage fees (where applicable), laundry, and gratuities) and taxes and fees, if any, are the sole responsibility of the specific prize winner.

 

The GRAND PRIZE maybe be enhanced or replaced with an item of value GREATER than $100 at the discretion of Sponsor. In the event of the grand prize ticket holder not selecting any additional or upgraded prize, the limit of prize obligation to the ticket holder shall be $100.00 (US).

 

MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. Ticket numbers will be called and the holder of ticket will have up to 90 seconds to make their presence known to the stage/microphone area.

Odds of winning depend on number of valid tickets entered in drawing.

 

DRAWING DATE AND LOCATION:

Sunday, October 2, 2011, Sears Plaza, 15711 Aurora Ave N, Shoreline, WA, upper parking lot at the NE corner of Sears unless otherwise indicated on this website or at event due to conditions beyond the control of sponsor.

 

The drawing will be held in conjunction with the awards ceremony but is subject to change at the Sponsor’s discretion.

 

HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST DRAWING:

One (1) ticket will be given with each show car and trade/craft/swap-meet booth registration.

 

Early registrations (deadline: received online or postmarked by 9/15/2011, 11:59PM) will receive an additional 5 drawing tickets.

 

Additional tickets may be purchased at $1 (US) per ticket; 6 tickets for $5; 30 tickets for $20. Tickets can be ordered in advance by early registrants. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the event.

A) No purchase is necessary to enter

A free ticket may be requested by USPS mail. ‘Free Requested Ticket’ limited to ONE (1) ticket per individual and address. Multiple requests from the same address will be discarded. Request shall be made in writing to include the manual signature of requesting person to include: NAME, AGE, ADDRESS, PHONE, VALID EMAIL and ANSWER TO SKILL QUESTION.

 

Photo copies or other mechanical reproductions not allowed. Only one request per envelop. ‘Free Requested Ticket’ shall be available for pick up at the Registration desk OR designated location at event on Sunday, October 2, 2011, between 11:00AMand 11:30AM. Photo ID shall be presented to obtain ticket. Tickets not picked up during this period will be considered forfeit. Contest is subject to federal, state and local laws and is void where prohibited by law.

 

Requests must be sent to: ATTN: CRUISE THE AVE FREE TICKET, 14419 Greenwood Ave N, Suite A #203, Seattle, WA, 98133. Requests must be USPS postmarked by September 15, 2011. Postmarked requested not received by September 22, 2011, shall not be accepted. Sponsor accepts no responsibility for delays or issues of USPS.

 

B) Eligibility and Limitations

Participants and winner(s) must be 18 years of age or older, U.S. citizens and residents of Western Washington (Snohomish, Thurston, Kitsap, Island, Pierce, Mason, Jefferson, Skagit, Kittitas, Grays Harbor, Lewis, Cowlitz, Whatcom, San Juan, Clallam and King Counties) – UNLESS participant is a paid registrant of event and address or vehicle registration is outside of the designated area. (Paid registrants residing outside stated geographical area limited to prize(s) totaling no more than $50)

 

All contest winners must disclose his or her legal name, address, telephone number, date of birth and Social Security Number. Any winner found to have supplied false or misleading information may be disqualified from the contest and therefore forfeit the prize(s). All entrants to any contest both imply and agree to participate in the contest and obey the rules of the contest.

 

Employees of They Shall Walk, They Shall Walk Education and Outreach, Event Logistics of Washington and any and all parent, subsidiary, related and affiliated companies, and their respective officers, directors employees and agents and their dependents and immediate families, as well as employees of contest Sponsors and vendors, and employees of other broadcast stations are not eligible to participate or win in the drawing.

 

C) Release of Liability

They Shall Walk, They Shall Walk Education and Outreach, Event Logistics of Washington, and any other contest sponsors and their affiliated companies and their respective officers, directors and employees shall be released and discharged from any and all legal claims, losses, injuries, demands, damages, actions, and /or causes of actions which arise out of and/or are in any way related to the prize(s), the receipt, use and/or enjoyment of the prize(s) and/or damages or losses related to the contest.

 

If a sponsor pulls out of a contest for reasons beyond Sponsor’s control, Sponsor is not responsible for continuing the contest and may substitute prizes to fulfill obligations.

 

D) Identification of Participants/Use of Voice and Likeness

Participants understand that if they enter contest (mail-in, web site, on site, or other means) they may be contacted and/or called by Sponsor personnel live to participate in recordings, on-the-air, or taped live-on-the-air for use as part of the contest or in future promotion and/or advertising on any broadcast station or medium. Participants further understand that permission to use their voice, likeness and/or name is granted by entering to win by any means. Each winner further grants Sponsor and prize sponsors and their affiliates full permission and authority to use his or her name, likeness and/or voice in all forms of advertising without further compensation or permission.

 

E) DRAWING

Winning ticket(s) will be drawn at random from all valid tickets received. Sponsor is not responsible for late, misdirected, lost or mutilated mail, entry or registration forms (physical or online) or faxes. No liability is assumed for any malfunction of computer equipment, fax machine equipment or fax machine telephone lines. If entry is illegible or does not supply all information deemed necessary to declare a winner, entry will be deemed invalid and another ticket will be selected.

 

F) Determination of Winner(s)

Final determination of all winners will be made solely by Sponsor. Any and all decisions made by the Sponsor are final. Contest rules are available on this website. Any one in the designated geographical region requesting contest rules may do so by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to “ATTN: “ Cruise the Ave Promotional Contest Drawing” to: 14419 Greenwood Ave, N, Suite A #203, Seattle, WA, 98133.

G) Transferability/Substitution of Prize

Prizes may not be traded or transferred. Substitutions of cash or equivalent, unless otherwise specifically stated in the contest rules are not allowed. If concert, other ticketed event, gift certificate or coupon has been awarded as a prize and the concert, event, place of business, or product is postponed, rained out, cancelled or for other reasons, beyond our control, does not occur/exist, Sponsor will not be responsible for replacing the prize. Prizes not redeemed by expiration date are no longer valid and will not be replaced by Sponsor.

 

In accepting a prize, the winner accepts to take the prize as outlined in the contest. Dates for concert, flight departure/arrival, weekend stays, etc, cannot be changed by winner. If changing the dates is an option, all additional expenses, change fees, etc. will be the responsibility of the winner. If winner is not able or chooses not to accept prize “as is”, winner forfeits his/her prize. Sponsor reserves the right to select another winner or dispose of prize at its sole discretion.. Winner is responsible for all costs associated with travel to any venue or event for which a prize was awarded, unless otherwise specified.

 

If the prize includes a trip, winner agrees to accept all blackout dates, space availability requirements, etc. established by Sponsor’s prize partner(s), such as hotels, airlines, trains, ships, etc. Winner agrees that acceptance of any trip taken as a prize from Sponsor does so entirely upon their own initiative, risk, and responsibility. If the trip requires traveling outside of the United States, the winner, upon claiming the prize, must have a valid US passport. If the winner does not have a valid USpassport upon winning the prize, the trip may be forfeited.

 

H) Requirements for Claiming Prize(s)

If prize(s) won by an individual winner is greater than $600, winner is required to complete an IRS Form W-9 and a Winner Affidavit of Eligibility and Release form before prizes will be awarded. The W-9 and Winner Release will be available at event. If unable to be completed, winner must return bring the completed paperwork when claiming prize, or return it by fax/mail before prize will be awarded. Winners must return forms no later than October 10, 2011 or postmarked by same date. Winners not taking possession of prize(s) at event, may make an appointment to pick up in person with Sponsor. Prizes will not be available without an appointment. Prizes not picked up by October 12, 2011, 4PM, shall be disposed of at the discretion of the Sponsor.

 

If prize(s) totaling more than $50 are won by a paid event registrant residing outside of the designated geographical area, additional prize(s) will be awarded to another ticket(s).

 

I) Taxes and Expenses

The winner agrees to pay all expenses, taxes & fees not included in the prize. Sponsor will report to the government any winnings totaling over $600 (in cash or fair market value) during the calendar year. Winners will receive an IRS 1099 Tax form if any winnings are reported. Winners are responsible for payment of all taxes on prize(s).

 

J) Amendments to Rules

Sponsor reserves the right to amend the contest dates and rules at any time. If any portion of the above rules is determined to be unenforceable due to local or state laws, all other portions of these official rules remain in effect.

 

K) Postponement or Cancellation of Contest

For any business, logistic or reason beyond Sponsor’s control, Sponsor reserves the right to post-pone or cancel a contest without notice. In such instances, the contest prize may be awarded at a future date at Sponsor’s discretion.
