VOLUNTEER HELPS PARALYZED LIFESUIT TEST PILOT BEGIN THERAPY
Ted Walker Will Walk Again Someday

Ted Walker has been in a wheelchair for elevan years. He is one of the LIFESUIT Test Pilots. Before he can get into the LIFESUIT he will need a lot of physical therapy. Since his insurance will only cover twelve sessions a year he will need additional help doing physical therapy. His therapist has offered to provide training to volunteers. Several students have volunteered to start this training and begin helping Ted as well as other Test Pilots.

After attending a training session, volunteers will help the Test Pilots with simple stretches, excercises and simple repetitive tasks.

Some test pilots only need simple arm and leg stretches at home and the office, others will need more complex assistance in a swimming pool and at the gym.

There are five Test Pilots waiting for volunteers to join in and help. After receiving training volunteers will meet with their respective Test Pilots at a mutually agreed to time and place to do the therapy.

If you are intersted in volunteering or bcomeing a Test Pilot contact Monty Reed (206)297-9255 monty@theyshallwalk.org Volunteer training weekly.
