3rd Annual They Shall Walk and Roll A Thon Held in Shoreline Washington
Seattle, Washington USA October 31, 2009 - Operators of Wheelchairs, Skates, Scooters, Bicycles, Strollers and Pedestrians will gather to WALK & ROLL on Saturday morning at 9am in the Shoreline Sears Parking lot.
This is a fundraiser for They Shall Walk.org Last year the walkers and rollers raised a little over $12,000 to help fund the mobility technology research being done at the They Shall Walk Research Lab in Georgetown (South Seattle). Robotics and Rehabilitation go together at the They Shall Walk Research Lab where the team is developing the Robotic LIFESUIT Exoskeleton that will allow paralyzed persons to walk.
This: They Shall Walk & Roll A Thon is in its third year. Next year there may be They Shall Walk & Roll A Thon fund raising events in other cities such as: San Francisco, Portland, Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami, Waikiki and Indianapolis.
Volunteers from Ballard, Mountlake Terrace, Nathan Hale, and other local High Schools will be helping with the event to earn service hours and walk and roll for great prizes.
Local paralyzed LIFESUIT Test Pilots: Ted Walker, Tesa Johnson, Andrew Sussman, Loren Greene and many others will be rolling in the They Shall Walk & Roll A Thon.

They Shall Walk.org has just moved their research lab to Georgetown (South Seattle) to be closer to the Veterans Hospital were paralyzed veterans will have an opportunity to walk as soon as the funding is raised by individuals.
Thousands of volunteer hours have been performed in the research and humanitarian efforts at They Shall Walk.org. They Shall Walk.org recently began the "Exercise Partners Program" that matches volunteers and paralyzed persons so that the paralyzed individuals can get exercise three or more times per week.
